DEJARNETTE

One of my personal most favorite discoveries is a little jewelry designer from New Orleans (ok you will get a lot of references to Louisiana and the south since that is where I am from). This designer Katherine Dejarnette Babin creates one-of-a-kind pieces made with vintage glass beads, lockets, brooches etc. She often sources materials from her home city of New Orleans, but also enjoys picking up special treasures from all corners of the globe.

One of my most favorite and special gifts I have ever given is a necklace with a vintage mardi gras coin that was actually from the year the person was born. This vintage coin was turned into a necklace with a little rabbit charm. Was so cool and special because there are very few jewelry pieces made with vintage mardi gras dubloons.
